I still use Blitz3D a little bit, and I have to say you can't go wrong with using it. The speed of it is amazing and the ease of programing is something that leaves other engines in the dust. The only downside to Blitz3D is that most of the effect have to be faked, though this does not ...

Blended Skies?
I have just recently started up with Irrlicht again, and was wondering if it could produce the same effect of what I was doing in Blitz3D... Basicly I was taking two sky-boxes and blending the second one with the first, while changing some paramaters on the second to make some really spiffy effects ...
