Post by afecelis »

Some very interesting news for the Indie community:

Also, if any of you is a skilled programmer willing to help the team on this new effort, please make sure to let them know you're willing to help.

Regards,
Alvaro

I have trouble understanding what DeleD is from their website. I couldnt find a 'feature list'.

Is it a 3D world editor? someting like GTK Radiant?

Yup, it's a low poly model editor that also works as level editor; it's got the usual CSG operations you find in level editors like Gtkradiant. But it's also a great lightmapper and lately it has implemented basic skeletal animation features.
It supports several 3d import/export formats, from which b3d is my favorite as it works great with Irrlicht ;)

here's the features link:

also check their gallery to get a better grip of the proggie:

Hmm the 'CE' version looks really usefull. I need a comprehensive free modelling tool for making space ships, and some burn-in lighting and texturing wouldnt hurt.

I think I'll take a look into the free version.

Delphi is quite good, been working with it for a couple of years. But my private stuff (well ... most of it) is written in C/C++ ever since I learned that, so I don't think I would be of any help.
