maybe real time strategy was not the best way to go. More like tower defense - you build your base and hold as long as you can
irrRenderer 1.0
Height2Normal v. 2.1 - convert height maps to normal maps

Step back! I have a void pointer, and I'm not afraid to use it!

hmm, I still think that leading a squad/unit would be better for fps+rts themed games,

What's wrong with Battlezone ? It has good and fun game play IMHO Why not try to make game play like that?

It's great to see everyone's videos.

Here is a little prototype of a more mesh-based rendering for my UI.
Eventually it will lead to fancy effects like wobbly windows and such. Right now the window doesn't expand beyond the default borders of itself due to the way I am rendering it. Right now I'm implementing a much better way of doing it.

We're programmers. Programmers are, in their hearts, architects, and the first thing they want to do when they get to a site is to bulldoze the place flat and build something grand. We're not excited by renovation:tinkering,improving,planting flower beds.

@Lil Margin
It is because the spheres are EXACTLY on top of each other. Basically you are balancing them all on each other. to fix it just offset every other one a little.

Here is a simulation I've just made in 1 week to illustrate a project I had to do for my engineering school. I'll use this during the oral representation.

It simulate an ion thruster (used by spaceships), and you can enable or not a lot of parameters to see how it's working.

I'm using Irrlicht 1.7 / Irrklang / Newton game dynamics.

red:electrons
green : Xenon atoms
blue : Xenon ions
blue + glow : Accelerated xenon ions
