The new terrain renderer feature is great! I really like it. :D
But I wanted to know Niko how did you make the heightmap and the texture that include a lightmap.
What tool did you use? Terragen?
Because in the tutorial, you simply load the 2 pictures. but I still don't know how to generate them.

LOL :D I hope he didn't do it... BTW, Qbasic is not compatible with .Net Framework, so it won't work wit...

Anyway, I wrote on DeleD forum about the issue with lightmapped level... Maybe it's only a bug with their b3d loader, who knows... If I find a good workflow to import ...

skinning would be a very cool feature since you would want to use gui in a game too. It kills ambiance to have buttons and gui that looks like windows.

I textured it with decorator and collapse all mesh with slimshady. http://img109.exs.cx/img109/787/screenjte13gs.jpg You can see that there ...

I created just a basic box with maplet, changed the texture on every other polygon exported it as an optimized b3d file, took a look at it with slim shady, loaded it up in JTEdit which loaded it with out any problems at all, but then again it was just a box.
